Term and Conditions
The BigBall Rally is an event and not a race. Participants must not compete at any level with other participants and must not place any bets relating to this event. Anyone found doing this will be asked to leave the BigBall Rally immediately, with the remainder of the trip cancelled and no refund will be given.
You must drive with care and attention for your own safety and the safety of others.
All fees must be paid to BigBall Rally Ltd by the date stated, any fees paid after this date will incur a per person late payment fee, no exceptions will be made.
The entry fee covers the cost of standard hotels in a location to suit the event and as seen fit by the organisers of the BigBall Rally.
Fees for entering the BigBall Rally do not include: taxis to and from the evening venues, petrol, parking (unless stated with the hotel), public transport, tolls, food, drink, fines, personal loss or damage or any other expenses. Any expense is the responsibility of the individual participants. Hotels are not included for the night of the launch party, unless added as an additional when booking. BigBall Rally Ltd must be notified of all vehicles and participants travelling, anyone found bringing additional participants or vehicles to the event without prior notification will be removed from the event without a refund being given.
License and Insurance
All drivers must hold a full valid driver’s license and passport. This is the sole responsibility of the participants.
Participants are responsible for ensuring their vehicles used in the event are properly licensed, adhere to all laws and vehicle specifications required in the country of travel, and fully insured for use on the public highways in all countries detailed in the itinerary.
You must obtain and maintain appropriate vehicle insurance to cover your participation in the event and shall provide proof of such insurance on registration day in a form satisfactory to the organiser, this can be a cover note or certificate of insurance.
All ferries are provided as per event description on the BigBall Rally Ltd website. If any participants miss the scheduled ferry, then they are responsible for any fees incurred and the rescheduling of the crossing.
All participants must adhere to the laws and regulations applicable of each and every country you travel through, this includes without exception all speed regulations, laws of the road, laws relating to the safety of your vehicle and laws relating to the possession or use of alcohol, drugs or other prohibited substances. If for any reason you decide to withdraw from the event your fee is neither transferable nor refundable under any circumstance.
Code of conduct
All participants must behave responsibly at all times. Credit cards must be provided as a security deposit when entering the accommodation and will be charged for any damages before leaving the hotel.
If any member of a team causes damage to any property throughout the rally the team leaders details will be presented to the Police/venue manager as the individual responsible for the team.
Alcohol or any intoxicating substances are not to be consumed whilst driving, anyone found to be using illegal substances during the rally will be asked to leave immediately without reimbursement of entry fees.
Do not drive if your ability to do so safely is in anyway compromised by illness, lack of adequate rest, or any other condition.
All participants receive standard hotel accommodation in each city during the rally as part of their entry fee. Standard hotels are 3/4 star hotels. BigBall Rally Ltd aims to provide participants with twin rooms in all hotels but depending on the city and hotel some rooms may be double beds. Standard hotels are not always located in the centre of the city and may require a taxi journey to/from the evening venues. 4 star hotels may vary greatly across Europe so it is not to be expected that they are the same in each city.
During the rally there will be evening events along the route. It is not a requirement to attend the evening event or any activities, however it is a good way of sharing the experience and giving any feedback you may have for the BigBall Rally team. Valid ID is required to enter all evening events, a driving license or passport is acceptable. For all evening events you must dress smart i.e. shoes and shirts, no shorts or trainers are permitted at any of the evening events. If the dress code is not adhered to you may be turned away.
BigBall Rally Ltd hold the right to cancel any team who have not given their full team details including team members, vehicle make and model and vehicle registration within 30 days of the start of any event. Any teams who have not paid their final balance including any late fees within 30 days of any event will also be cancelled without refund.
All participants must be over 18 years of age.
It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure they are permitted to travel in and through the required countries. BigBall Rally Ltd hold no responsible for any costs or disruption caused due to participants being refused entry/exit to any countries/cities on the course.
Participants will exclude any member of the BigBall Rally team (including the organisers, directors, and employees) from any claims, lawsuits and causes of action brought against them by any third party as a result of their actions during the event.
All vehicles are to display the provided ‘BigBall Rally’ stickers throughout the course of the rally. All stickers are non-permanent and are easy to remove and will not leave any damage to vehicles if used corectly, therefore no responsible for any claims of damage to your vehicle as a result of applying or removing the supplied stickers will be excepted by BigBall Rally Ltd.
Refunds/Transfer of Fees
NO refunds will be given under any conditions for circumstances beyond the control of BigBall Rally Ltd.
Neither compensation nor refunds will be given to any participants who are unable to continue/complete the course of the rally. BigBall Rally Ltd reserves the right to change the event schedule without prior notice if and when required. Sufficient time is allowed to arrive at each destination although the route is very demanding, if any team does not manage to complete any part of the route and are unable to continue in any part of the event for this or any other reason, they will not be entitled to a refund of entry fees or compensation.
Once any payment (be it full, part or deposit) for entry into the rally has been received, this fee is non-transferable to any future rallies, any other teams or any part payment of future rallies.
Once teams have been entered into the BigBall Rally and payment is received (be it part/full or deposit) the details held are confirmed and final. Any required amendments requested by participants will hold a £50.00 administration fee (per amendment not team) this includes but is not limited to name changes and change of vehicle details.
Additional team members can be added at just the required entry fee.
BigBall Rally Ltd reserves the right to refuse participation in or to cancel the event at any time for any reason whatsoever (without being obliged to disclose the reason).
Photographers and videographers will be documenting footage of the BigBall Rally thought the event. You hereby waive all rights of publicity and privacy and allow BigBall Rally Ltd full permission to use your appearance in the rally in any manner seen appropriate by the organisers. Participants also agree that BigBall Rally Ltd are able to use footage of themselves and their vehicles for promotion purposes, this footage may be edited where seen necessary by BigBall Rally Ltd. Any footage taken/recorded by participants is only for personal and private use.
BigBall Rally Branding
You are not permitted to use the ‘BigBall Rally’ logo for any use other than that of the stickers provided for your vehicle throughout the event. If any participants are found to be using the ‘BigBall Rally’ logo or name in a way deemed negative to the company, your team will be refused entry onto this or any future rallies held by BigBall Rally Ltd, this will also result in legal action being taken and any financial losses to BigBall Rally Ltd being claimed.
Terms and Conditions changes
Should BigBall Rally Ltd require changes to be made to the terms and conditions you will be notified via email. Participants shall be deemed as having accepted the amended terms and conditions unless they notify the BigBall Rally team.
These terms and conditions and your participation in the event are governed by international law, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
Entry forms and these terms and conditions make up the agreement between participants and BigBall Rally Ltd.
Violation of terms
If any participators refuse to follow instruction given by the BigBall Rally team before or during the event, or violate any of the above terms and conditions they will be prohibited from this or any future events.
